The Universidad Europea de Madrid (European University of Madrid) is one of the most important private universities in the national educational panorama. It offers a wide range of university courses in all disciplines.
02/THE CHALLENGE
For several years, the Universidad Europea de Madrid (UEM) has been immersed in an important institutional accreditation process that is seeking the academic recognition of one of the most prominent international agencies in the university field, the WASC Senior College and University Commission, which is responsible for evaluating the quality of university education and to which many prestigious institutions belong, including benchmark universities such as Berkeley or Stanford. Within the framework of this accreditation process, the Evaluation Committee visited the facilities of the Villaviciosa de Odón Campus last October.
03/THE SOLUTION
Given the importance of this quality process, UEM needed a strategic ally in linguistic matters with the preparation required to understand the WASC philosophy in order to adapt and get involved in the project in a structured way. Nóvalo was the company chosen to provide a comprehensive professional translation and interpreting service, aimed both at the specialised translation of academic, legal and financial documentation, as well as simultaneous and liaison interpreting in this highly specific field. To this end, a specialised team of 15 specialists in translation, proofreading, management and quality control was successfully coordinated, in addition to a team of seven conference interpreters prepared to work in various meetings held simultaneously over three days with a busy agenda, which required working in various interpreting specialities and with different technical resources.
